ANDY BENAVIDES / ARTIST
Andy creates his world. He is a community leader, arts activist and professional contemporary artist. Founder of Benavides Picture Framing and Benavides Studio, Inc. doing business since 1998, Founder and owner of The 1906, Co-founder and Executive Director of S.M.A.R.T. 501c3,

YVETTE BENAVIDES / ARTIST
In 2001, Yvette fell into the 1906. A die hard arts advocate, her passion is providing opportunity for others, building her nonprofit and ensuring The 1906 stays a safe place for creative expression. Recently inspired to take up ceramics, she likes to laugh, has a quick wit and one husband and one kid who are the lights of her life. Owner of The 1906, Co-founder and Director of S.M.A.R.T. 501c3, Co-founder Southtown Culture.
AGUSTO BENAVIDES / ARTIST
Agusto is a musician and skateboarder. He likes pasta, challenging music, a good skate and loves his dog Jake.
DOUGLAS GALLOWAY / ARTIST
Douglas paints stories. The colors in his work immediately transport you to a place and a feeling. Plus his smile lights up a room and he loves our dog.
JACOB HURST / WRITER
Jacob creates lands in far away places. A writer and "imaginer" changing our everyday lives, for just a minute.
LINDA LANG / PAINTER
Linda has had a presence in our building since 2001. She is a painter and a teacher of painting. Her voice is gentle, she travels a lot and enjoys life.
HILARY ROCHOW / ARTIST
Hilary is a designer, illustrator and graphic artist. She is a visual communicator with an eye for the exceptional. She's also an animal lover with 3 critters of her own. Reach out to her for commissions.
BOB MAXHAM / PHOTOGRAPHER
Bob, well he is a master of everything: camera lens, written word, philosophy, storytelling and so much more. A world traveler with his wife and son, he has been in our lives for over 40 years. He's magical.
ALEJANDRO AUGUSTINE PADILLA / ARTIST
Alex has the smallest space in the building and he likes it that way. His work attempts to convey the feelings of isolation that often occur with anxiety. Don't let him fool you though - he is VERY funny and smart as hell. Founder and owner of Studio Fantomas.
ANGIE RIOJAS / ARTIST
Angie is a quiet creative. She creates behind her walls and when she brings it out you're like whaaaat?! Her work is conceptual and expressed in many different mediums. Her eye for fashion and design is spot on. She is the founder of Nu Mode - vintage boutique and Nu Image - hair stylist.
ANITA BECERRA / CERAMICIST
Anita is a ceramicist and sculptor. She makes work that makes you feel good, taking the traditional craft of clay and producing modern, simple, inspirational pieces. Her life is anchored by 3 creative kiddos and a dog named Tobey.
RICK SANDOVAL
Rick is a career upholsterer. He uses his space to produce masterpieces for his clients. Not only that, he'll be teaching upholstery classes to the next generation. Thank goodness. Keep your eyes open for his paintings - yep, he's an artist on many levels.

Sandy has been a calming presence in our building since 2001. Her studio comes to life with abstract paintings. Sandy "continues to seek the balance between unexpected accidents and deliberate intention…"
ELIAS VIEYRA/ ARTIST
Elias, like all our artists, is multi talented. His paintings pop with vibrant color and commentary, elevating his style and his voice. Founder of Territory Canvas, he keeps the art world happy with canvas and framing support.Always look forward to a good laugh with Elias.
JOE DE LA CRUZ / ARTIST
Joe draws. A LOT. Where he used to come to us for guidance, emerging artists now go to him for mentorship and advice. He's perfect for it. Joe lectures and exhibits all over our great city. Founder and owner of Silkwörm Studio & Gallery.
MICHELLE HERNANDEZ / CERAMICIST
Michelle loves plants, yoga, and is the founder of Meechi Ceramics and Southtown Clay- where she teaches classes. Check out her work at the insta link where you can reach her for commissions and classes. Her passion for clay is contagious.
NIKKI BLACKSALT / ARTIST
